· This is a private auction and is open to members of the BHI
(including Branch members) and students from Westdean
College.
· All items are sold as seen.
· If any dispute arises, the Auctioneer shall have absolute
discretion to settle it and/or put any disputed lot up for auction
again.
· Neither the Sellers nor the South London Branch of the British
Horological Institute make or give, nor has any other person any
authority to make or give, any representations or warranty.
· All statements whether written or verbal are statements of
opinion and are not to be taken as statements or representations
of fact.
· Goods become the liability of the Buyer immediately after the
fall of the hammer. There is no Buyer’s Premium. If your bid is
successful, the price you bid is the price you pay.
· Electrical / electronic items are sold with no guarantee as to their
condition or safety. All such equipment should be checked by a
suitably qualified electrician.
· Electrical / electronic items should be marked to indicate
whether or not they are working. Any unmarked item may be
considered as not working by the auctioneer and bidders. Slips
are available from the front desk.
· We reserve the right to refuse any lots containing fluids /
powders and the like that are not in secure & sealed containers.
· Payment up to one hundred pounds should be made in cash.
· By prior arrangement and agreement from the treasurer we will
accept cheques for total purchases of over one hundred pounds.
This may mean that some sellers will have to accept cheques by
way of payment.
· Lots are to be removed at the Buyer’s expense immediately after
the conclusion of the sale, when a receipt for payment must be
shown to a porter who will gather your lots together for you.
